The Law Offices of Robert S. To ensure that you get the best advice possible, we do not provide legal advice over the telephone, but only after a personal consultation and careful review of any relevant documents and the applicable statutes and caselaw. In our initial consultation you not only have the opportunity to fully discuss your concerns and have your legal questions answered, but you and the attorney also have the chance to determine if you will need additional assistance going forward and if you feel comfortable that you will have a quality professional working relationship.
All consultations are billed on a pro-rata hourly basis on the amount of time spent. After the initial consultation, if you decide to retain the firm to represent you, you will be asked to provide a retainer fee and sign an attorney/ client representation agreement. The retainer fee amount varies as to the anticipated amount of work to be undertaken and complexity of your case. No two cases are alike, and likewise no two retainers are the same. The attorney will determine the retainer amount needed at the end of your consultation based on the specific issues involved and the estimated amount of time that will be required to competently handle your case. There are certain matters that may be handled on a flat fee or contingency basis, but that would be determined after the initial consultation based on the facts of your particular situation.
